Meet Will, the gardener behind Willows.

Willows Garden Care was founded in 2018 by Will Shackleton, and works from a base on Gunco Lane in Macclesfield across the surrounding east Cheshire towns. Will was born in Macclesfield and raised in the Peak District — so he grew up around the ground, the weather and the seasons of this part of the world.

Before gardening, Will took a rather different route into working with the land. He holds a degree in Agriculture from Nottingham University, and worked on a dairy farm before turning to gardening full time. That grounding is the difference you feel in the work: a genuine understanding of soil, growth and seasons, rather than a mower, a van and a quick tidy-up.

What Willows offers is the full range of garden care — regular lawn mowing and striping, hedge trimming and shaping, planting and borders, clearing gardens that have got away from their owners, and larger design and transformation projects. Whatever the job, the same care and knowledge goes into it.

Read the Google reviews and the same words come up again and again: turned up nice and early, made a very good job of a difficult task, cleared up after, and lovely people to deal with.
